The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, the follow-up to the July-debuting Galaxy Z Flip 6, is anticipated to come next year. But according to a supply chain analyst, it won’t be the first clamshell-style foldable smartphone to be released; a new model that might be more affordable will join it the following year. As a less expensive option to the Galaxy Z Flip series, this alleged gadget is expected to join the South Korean tech giant’s flagship foldable smartphone portfolio.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE Launch
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ross Young, Analyst and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), claimed that Samsung’s new affordable foldable smartphone may be known as Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. This device is speculated to launch in 2025 as part of the next-generation Galaxy foldables.
Those hoping for a Z Flip 7 FE should be excited. It looks like a Samsung FE clamshell is finally coming in 2025.

According to the expert, the alleged clamshell-style foldable phone would probably have a display that is comparable to its flagship model, but it may have a different chipset and camera setup.
According to a prior source, Samsung’s rumored low-cost foldable smartphone might have more subdued internal components in order to minimize expenses. The business stated that it was looking toward “methods to lower entry barriers so that more customers can actually experience foldable products” during its Q3 2024 earnings call.
Although the alleged phone’s features are still unknown, a different rumor speculated that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE would be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is also used in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Other New Launches
Samsung is rumored to be creating two whole new models to complement its current ranges in addition to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is one among these, and it might debut and be included in the flagship Galaxy S25 series “before and after” April 2025.
Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE, which recently debuted only in South Korea, the company is reportedly developing a second Galaxy Z Fold 7 model that will be a special edition version. According to rumors, this phone will be released simultaneously, which means it might be another smartphone that debuts alongside Samsung’s seventh-generation foldables.
