Ahead of the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) in Barcelona, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer on Sunday introduced the Xiaomi 15 Ultra to international markets. While the regular and Pro models were initially released in October 2024, the company’s flagship smartphone was presented in China on February 27. The Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU and up to 16GB of RAM are elements of the Xiaomi 15 series. The phones come with silicon carbon batteries that support 90W rapid charging and LTPO AMOLED screens.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Price and Availability

The base Xiaomi 15 Ultra model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs EUR 1,499, or around Rs. 1,36,100. The 12GB+256GB edition of the regular Xiaomi 15 costs EUR 999, or around Rs 90,700. Xiaomi is anticipated to make an announcement later today regarding availability in several areas, including India.

According to a recent announcement from Xiaomi India, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will go on sale in India on March 11.

Within the first year of buying the smartphone, Xiaomi promises to give one out-of-warranty repair free of labor costs. Additionally, the business will replace the screen for free during the first six months.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications

With Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 overlay installed, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a dual SIM (Nano+Nano) smartphone running Android 15. Four OS upgrades are planned for it. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm CPU and up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The 6.73-inch WQHD+ (1,440×3,200 pixel) quad curved LTPO AMOLED display on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3,200 nits.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts four Leica-tuned cameras installed by the firm. It features optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with a 1-inch type LYT-900 sensor. Additionally, it features a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 4.3x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto camera sensor with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. On the front is a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, GPS, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port are all features of the phone. A compass, barometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner are among the sensors on board.

The 5,410mAh silicon carbon battery of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra supports both 80W wireless charging and 90W fast charging. With an IP68 classification for dust and splash protection, the phone’s chassis is constructed from aerospace-grade glass fiber.

The flagship Xiaomi 15 Ultra and the Xiaomi 15 have the same CPU, and the Xiaomi 15 has up to 16GB of RAM. A 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 3,200 nits is featured in the base variant.

The Xiaomi 15 has a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, just like the Ultra model. Additionally, it features a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. Like the Ultra variant, it has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

A maximum of 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage is included with the Xiaomi 15. With the exception of Bluetooth 5.4 (the flagship model provides Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity), the connectivity choices are almost the same as those of the Ultra model. According to the firm, the Xiaomi 15 has a 5,240mAh battery that can be charged at 90W (wired) or 50W (wireless).
